SUNSHINE 6 DAYS OUT OF 7 WE SUNBATHED AND WENT TO THE BEACH DAILY - CAME HOME TO HORRIBLE WET WINDY BRITAIN.

Holiday : WE ALWAYS STAY IN A FARMHOUSE AS IT'S MUCH EASIER WITH OUR THREE CHILDREN. WE BOOK WITH VILLA PARADE AS THEY HAVE SOME FANTASTIC DEALS AT THIS TIME OF YEAR.

Places Recommended : CALA DOR RESORT RESTAURANT, CAFE PLAZA FOOD IS FANTASTIC AND VERY CHEAP WE GO HERE EVERY TIME WE VISIT MAJORCA THEY CAN'T DO ENOUGH FOR YOU AND ARE FANTASTIC WITH THE CHILDREN.

Weather : Variable but we wore teeshirts and shorts every day, excellent weather for late October. Just one really wet afternoon which cleared to become a beuatiful sunny evening. Very wet in Palma on takeoff.

Holiday : A very relaxing beach holiday with occasional visits to Palma, Soller and Alcuida. All very enjoyable.

We stayed in the Hotel Uyal, which has had a few dubious reviews in the past re. cleanliness - the hotel and grounds were SPOTLESS so they have obviously taken the criticisms on board (assuming they were genuine). Delicious and plentiful buffet breakfasts and dinners with good variety of hot and cold foods. Huge room with very large balcony, room 155.

Most of the guests had been there many times before and we will certainly be returning to this resort and this hotel in particular. The staff could not have been more efficient or more friendly. We wish them all well during the closed season and hope to meet them again next year.

Places Recommended : We enjoyed sightseeing in Alcuda old town.

The train ride from Palma to Soller was breathtaking and the boulevards of Palma reminded us of our favourite city - Paris.

We were disappointed that there was an admission charge of 4 euros for the cathedral which we refused to pay on principle.

Weather : We had 6 days of sunshine out of 7, for the time of year we couldn't have asked for more. We were luckly though as the week before they had alot of rain.

Holiday : We stayed at the Club Belleveue, Alcudia & read nothing but bad reviews before we went. For the price we paid it was fantasic, it was clean, food was fine & drinks great.

We didn't hit any large queues & you can get four drinks a time anyway if it is busy. Please ignore the bad reviews as this place is great value for money.

Places Recommended : The Hydro park is just 10 mins walk from the hotel & a great day out.

Weather : Fabulous, if you like it in the 90s like we do!

Very hot through the day which made going in the sea or pool an essential.

No rain at all!

Holiday : Our holiday was fantastic, we love Mallorca.

The locals are really friendly. If you are respectful of them nothing is too much trouble.

The colours on the island are out of this world - no wonder so many artists go there to paint.

Places Recommended : Santa Ponsa, wonderful resort. We have been 12 times now.

Weather : Weather was fantastic from first light to night time, superb.

Lovely tans alround.

Sun was shining every day and hardly a breath of wind.

Very hot, had to go in the pool every 10 minutes to cool down!

Holiday : The holiday itself was good.

Palma airport staff very rude and limited english.

Sun Club Eldorado excellent entertainment package and something for everyone to do from 10 am till 11 pm, cant fault it at all. The entertainment team are superb and take the time to speak to everyone through out the day.

Accomodation is the pits - very basic, dull and dark. Would rather sleep in a tent!

Food not good unless you are either French or German, not very British friendly.

Places Recommended : Arenal for the friendly atmosphere of the British run Liverpool Bar. Good food at good prices and the beach is just something else.

Weather : The weather from the very start of our holiday untill the morning we flew home was brilliant.

30-34 degrees.

According to the locals humidity was higher than average, but once you got used to it it was ok.

Holiday : The holiday in all was brilliant, although, the accomodation was a let down.

We stayed in the Don Bigote in Palma Nova, Half Board.

First impressions were fine but when we got to our room it was small, basic, and the cleaners were not that thorough.

The restaurant made up for it, the food was excellent, a great choice of either hot or cold everyday, breakfast and dinner.

The outside pool area was average, no music and the fact that we weren't allowed to use the pool untill 9.30am was ridiculous.

No entertainment on in the hotel (brochure stated entertainment, but when we asked the hotel staff they were not aware of any).

The charges for the fridges (3 euros daily) and safes (37 euros for the two weeks) were rather dear I thought.

But.... Palma Nova is a lovely place and it was dissappointing to see it so quiet for this time of year.

Would definately go back but would try another hotel.

Places Recommended : Recommend a visit into Magaluf, Katmandoo for nightlife and beaches.

Cheeks and Castaway bars for good offers on drinks.

Weather : My family and I have just come back from a week in Cala Bona, we stayed at the Hotel Catalonia Consul on half board.

All I can say is, get yourself there.

The weather as normal, was fantastic, hardly ever a cloud in the sky, over 30 degrees during the day and in the 20's at midnight. You could sit outside in shorts and a vest and it was fabulous.

Holiday : The food at the hotel was the best I have ever had at a 3 star hotel.
All of the staff were very polite and it was top class.
Do not believe any negative reviews about this area or this hotel, trust me.

Although just going out on a bike you get a sense of the local way of life, brilliant.

Weather : Beautiful weather very hot 40 degrees..nice and tanned..:)
The water temperature was like getting into the bath. I'm really not joking about that either..very nice sandy beaches were great for getting that all important tan..:)

Holiday : Pollensa is a really fantastic place to visit whether you are a couple or a family.
The food available to you is incredible, but be careful where you get your "English"Fish and chips.
The stunning beaches and the bay itself is an incredible place and extremely safe for the kids, even the young ones.
If you are after a place where the night clubs keep you rocking from dawn till dusk you are not really going to enjoy it.
Pollensa is a nice and quiet place, that is not to say boring.
It's a quiet relaxing family orientated place where even in high season you can still hear the birds above people .

Places Recommended : Visit the Flora Aartments Bar-great service and very reasonable prices too.

Weather : The weather both times i was here was great!
First time August 2007 and we had really warm weather apart from a couple of showery days but the rain was back off again almost as soon as it came on.
The second time in June 2008, pretty similar but slightly breezy in the evening but still warm.

Holiday : Alcudia is a great place to go if your looking for a relaxing break.
I was in the Condes de Alcudia Hotel both times and it's a great wee Hotel, well run and friendly staff, food good also.
There's plenty of shops, bars and restaurants and a beautiful port/marina area.
It's excellent for a stroll around in the evening and there's a local market on in the afternoon next to the boats and yachts.
Plenty of restaurants here, Chinese, Indian, Italian, Spanish, Mexican as well as fish & chips, steakhouses and fresh barbecues too.
The beach is beautiful, not too overcrowded and the water is clean shallow and safe for kids.
There's a good choice of watersports to pick from if you like that sort of thing.

Weather : Weather great, hot mostly, only overcast once, perfect for sunbathing, a bit of a breeze which was welcome

Holiday : We thought the room was poor and shabby, a bit smelly ( LEDA 2 Building ) not looked after well, although cleaned three times during our weeks stay it still appeared grubby. Night entertainment at the showbar was good, staff were very pleasant always smiling.

Would not recommend Alcudia but Majorca on the whole is great.
Food was adequate but not great.

Weather : The weather was hot apart from one day of heavy storms, overall we could not fault the weather, 41 degrees some days.

Holiday : The hotel was poor, room was smelly, pool area was run down, food was terrible for children, we were all inclusive, plenty to eat but the quality was poor,
Entertainment at night was good, day entertainment non existent, ideall if you wanted to do nothing but sunbathe.

Places Recommended : Caves of drache were magical.

Holiday : My husband,myself and 19 year old son were staying at my brother and sister -in-law's own apartment in Est Forti -the quieter part of Cala D'Or.
We travelled around by bus; little train and walking during our first week then hired a car in the second ,so we saw quite a bit..
Lovely place with plenty to see and do. It was pleasant down by the Marina too.
A good variety of bars, restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes. We went for a dip in the evening most days cos it was too busy or too hot during most days. I get bored sitting on a beach so it suited me fine.

Places Recommended : Would recommend The Hemitage de San Salvador. The monastry is set on top of a moutain and the views are fantastic. The atmosphere in the church is amazing. The market at Felanitx is fascinating.

Weather : The weather was okay but stormy first few days. It brightened up but was still very windy. Not much else to say about the weather apart from average

Holiday : Never go to this resort if you are English as it totally overrun with Germans. I have nothing against Germans because I actually live there but it was too much. Even the Spaniards spoke German! Would not recommend Hotel Janiero if you are any other nationality but German.

Weather : Perfect 82F, gentle breeze.

Hot, but with suncream none of us had a problem - until it came to leaving, which we did NOT want to do !

Holiday : Exactly what we wanted with a two-year-old toddler in tow, and very limited cash resources !

My daughter and family were there for two weeks, we joined them for the second. We were all very impressed, and we are very seasoned travellers (before the baby arrived !).

This hotel has three-star rating. I can only believe this is because it does not sit right on a beach, although there is a lovely beach 15 minutes walk away (and you have the time to do this anyway !!).

Food, cleanliness, facilities, entertainment, staff - all absolutely excellent.

On-site evening entertainment very good standard, and a long way from clubs and drunks - thank heaven !

Cannot think of a single reason to grumble.

Would definitely recommend and return.

Places Recommended : Cuevas del Drach. I visited these caves in 1966, their beauty has never left me. A revisit did not disappoint - breathtaking and above all NOT man-made !

Weather : The weather was great :temp in the 80s great for getting a tan,,it was very hot in the daytime and a little cooler in the evening
Overall the weather was great.

Holiday : Our holiday was a lot of disappointments .
We payed a lot of money for only 1 week to be with my sister and her family and the travel agents forgot to mention that the hotel was in the middle of nowhere with only 2 bars and 2 hotels ,no shops not even a supermarket.
So the hotel were charging very high prices for sweets ,crisps ,drinks soft and alcholic also in our hotel no entertainment
Nothing for the kids to do except play in the pool all day and the full board buffet would not feed a pig for 1 hour never mind Brits
It was terrible ,,
