July Weather Averages

Sorted by popularity:

July, along with August, is the hottest month of the year in LarnacaCyprus. The average temperature is a searing hot 27°C. Even at night, the mercury doesn't drop below the average of 21°C anymore. And during the day, the average high temperature soars to 32°C. These two temperatures even tend to increase a little bit in the course of the month, until they reach their annual maxima on August 1.

The average sea temperature is around 25°C, so you can take a refreshing dip in the sea or try your hand at some watersports such as waterskiingjet skiingscuba diving and snorkelling.

July is also the clearest month of the whole year. Cloud cover ranges around 6% this monthnly August comes close to that percentage. These clear skies, of course, result in a sun-soaked resort. Each July day is blessed with 12 glorious sunshine hours on average. The same number was also recorded in June.

A cloud-free sky also means that rainfall is virtually absent in Larnaca in summer. Rainfall is exceptionally rare. The chance that rainfall occurs decreases from 4% to less than 2% in the course of the montht averages 3%, which is pretty much equal to nothing. When precipitation does occur, it is in the form and shape of either short moderate rain showers or thunderstorms. After these brief spells of rain, the sun invariably comes out again to dry up the wet patches.

July is without question one of the peak tourist months in the resort. There is no rainfall and essentially non-stop sunshine and high temperatures. This is perfect beach weather. Sunbathers will be able to bask on the beaches all day long. If you're looking to do other activities, however, you may want to visit in one of the cooler and less crowded shoulder months, such as May or September.

Find yourself relaxing in paradise when you stay at the Princess Beach Hotel located a few kilometres from the bustle of Larnaca. Each of the 138 contemporary well-decorated rooms has a balcony or terrace and features cable TV, a mini fridge, tea/coffee makers, and Wi-Fi for an additional charge. Experience wonderful service at the hotel facilities, which include the outdoor pool, spa, fitness center, tennis court, and three restaurants/bars. The Princess Beach Hotel also offers packages for weddings and other events such as baby showers, engagements, galas and birthday parties. For business travelers, the hotel also has two meeting rooms with Wi-Fi, presentation equipment, and an audio and sound system.

Cyprus in general is well-known for its superb beaches. Larnaca is no exceptionhe resort is home to several excellent beaches, most of which are equipped with great facilities. Arguably the most popular beach is Phinikoudes Beach. Backed by tall palm trees waving in the sea breeze and covered with soft golden sand, this beach is where you will want to be during your summer vacation. Parallel to the beach, you will find a plethora of shops, bars and restaurants; at one end of the beach, the boat-dotted marina is where you can go for boat trips.

Lovers of Japanese food will be in heaven at Nippon Bistro. One of the most authentic Japanese restaurants in the resort, this award-winning restaurant serves no less than 160 dishes that all look spectacular.

There are miles of glorious beaches in Larnaca, all with shops, cafés, bars and restaurants nearby. You can also experience the ocean in a very different way by taking a trip aboard the SADKO Tourist Submarine!

Experienced divers can also go to the wreck of the Zenobia, a cargo vessel that sank on its maiden voyage in June 1980 in shallow waters just off the coast of Larnaca. A suggested company to book your diving excursions with is Alpha Divers. In addition to excursions, they offer diving courses. The wreck of the Zenobia is a major destination among divers worldwide. It is now a protected artificial reef, home to many different species of fish and other marine creatures. Rated as one of the top wreck dive sites in the world, the Zenobia is an absolute must-visit for any diving enthusiast visiting Larnaca.

Land-based activities are plentiful as well in and around the resort. Hiking and cycling are especially popular things to do around Larnaca and in Cyprus. There is a wide variety of hiking trails and terrains, as well as numerous cycling routes and mountain biking trails.
