Averages for Kos in October

October may seem like the end of the summer in most places, but not in Kos, Greece. It is actually a wonderful time to visit the island for those who do not absolutely have to travel in the summer months.

It is not nearly as crowded during the late spring and early autumn. The temperatures during October have cooled off a bit, but summertime has by no means faded.

Also, there is a higher average of rainfall during this autumn month, so the overall climate will not be as dry, yet the rain is not enough to ruin a vacation. With that said, October’s climate can be quite changeable from day to day, but as long as tourists are prepared for cool, warm or rainy weather on any given day, they can still have a wonderful Kos vacation that includes plenty of time outdoors.

There is a large Fish Festival in Kardamena at the beginning of October. Also, bars such as Jam cater to specific groups of tourists. This one features music that Indie and Brit pop fans will absolutely love.

Mitsis Norida Beach Hotel offers an excellent all-inclusive package. The main restaurant is very good, as is the Chinese restaurant and Blue Domes Italian restaurant.

The hotel’s three pools are beautiful places to relax. It is right on the beach as well, so guests can take their pick of where they want to enjoy the sun. Other amenities on the property include on-site shopping, an internet café and a disco.

Booking trips to nearby islands and Turkey are a must, and this hotel is a great base from which tourists can explore the entire area.

Asteras Hotel is another location with a tremendous amount of small amenities that really add up. Everything from internet access, elevators, in-room irons and hair dryers, and a mini-bar are included, and these are things that many other hotels do not offer at all or may charge a hefty price for.

Because of its location, the Asteras Hotel allows tourists to be able to travel easily into Larissa in order to see the attractions there. There are many shops, restaurants and bars in the area as well. Breakfast is included, and so is satellite television.
