Averages for Kos in December
Kos, Greece experiences the most
rainfall of the entire year during December. Tourists should not let this fact
deter them, though. The summer months receive almost no rain at all, so it is
fitting that the mild winter months are wetter.
Strong storms can develop in the Mediterranean Sea during this month, so tourists should keep an eye on the weather for the overall area in the days or weeks prior to their vacation, just to be on the safe side.
The average temperature during this month is 53.96°F (12.2°C).
The average low temperature is 50°F (10°C). The average high temperature is 57°F (13.9°C).
The average sea temperature is 63°F (17°C).
There is an average of 5.79” (147 mm) of precipitation. There is an average of 14 days of precipitation.
There is an average of 3.8 hours of sunlight.
A fun place to be in Kardamena when the sun goes down is the Honey Club, which was formerly the Zoom Club prior to 2006. The main attraction of this club is that different DJs from around the world make special appearances on any given night. The bar stays open all night, so the party never stops.
The Ilios Hotel offers a unique stay for those visiting Kos, Greece. For example, the staff grows, harvests and prepares vegetables grown right on the hotel’s grounds for guests’ meals. There is beach access, a Kid’s Club and a very nice pool.
Those who stay at the Ilios Hotel are encouraged to take advantage of at least one of the excursion opportunities. One of these is a day trip to Turkey which picks tourists up and returns them back to their hotel for a reasonable fee. The reception staff will also arrange for guests to rent a car for any length of time in order for them to explore the surrounding area. Guests can choose to book all inclusive
The Blue Lagoon Resort is yet another hotel of which the staff is always complimented as one of the hotel’s best features. The main pool has lots of music, games and entertainment; however, there is also a quieter adults-only pool, too. Both have plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas.
The room and balcony view differ, so guests will need to verify what they are booking if a room with a sea or pool view is preferable.
Overall, this can be a very relaxing holiday resort. The rooms provide comfortable dressing gowns and slippers, and after a day of excitement, adults can make use of the spa’s sauna for free or pay for any of the services that the on-site spa provides.
