During the summer month you may see temperatures high of up to 32°C, which is the highest in the year, or lows of 25°C which is still hot.
Even though August has the hottest weather, it also has the highest average monthly rainfall of the year at 265mm falling over an average of 16 days. This is 64mm more than the month before and a massive 75mm more than the month after. During the month, you will get an average of 6 hours of sunshine a day which is the lowest in the year. Because of the warm temperatures and even warmer sea temperatures, it is a great time to hit the beach and swim in the sea. A great beach to go to is in Lan Ha Bay which can be reached one of the many day cruises available. There is a remote beach on the bay where you can enjoy relaxations and a quiet swim in the sea. It has great tasty local food at equally great prices. If you struggle to read the menu then one of the helpful and friendly staff will help you make a choice. Everything on the menu is delicious, freshly cooked and well-presented too.
If you're peckish for a bit of Chinese or seafood then try the Golden Sand Restaurant which is a Chinese and seafood restaurant located in the Halong Marine Plaza mall. It is a very popular choice of restaurant to eat at with its stunning lake views and décor. As well as Chinese and seafood dishes, they also serve western dishes but not very many.
Things to do in Ha Long Bay in August
