Winter extends from November through February and sometimes as late as the middle of March. This time is referred to as the low season. January and February are the chilliest months, with temperatures going down as low as 10º C and up to 30º C. The weather becomes quite cool in the winter. There is low visibility with overcast conditions in December, January and February. Visitors experience up to 8 hours of sunshine in December, however, despite the chill.
Spring happens from the middle of March through June, which is referred to as a shoulder season. Temperatures during the spring season range from 19º C to 31º C. The bay becomes more inviting in April and remains attractive to tourists through October. There is still the possibility of rain and foggy conditions during the spring months.
