Averages for Gumbet in October

Gumbet is a lively beach resort and popular holiday destination in Turkey. Located on the Aegean coast on the southern Bodrum peninsula, this bay-adjacent town is well known as being a nightlife hotspot and is popular with tourists from around the world, especially with Brits.

October is a great time to visit Gumbet weather-wise. Temperatures are high; 16-15 degrees celsius on average. Rainfall starts to pick up heading towards the wetter winter months, but is still an acceptable 40mm generally.

Enjoy the last of the true summer heat in Gumbet and get out and about and explore the area. A unique way to see the Bodrum peninsula sights is by segway. The Aegean Gingers tour office is based in Gumbet and it’s from here that visitors can join a segway tour, taking in some brilliant Turkish sights.

Choose from a 90 minute panoramic tour that takes in all that Gumbet has to offer, as well as the mountains between the bay and neighbouring Bodrum, or a longer 150 minute tour that also incorporates Bodrum itself. For beginners, there’s a 30 minute training tour to build confidence.

End the day by visiting the Turkish and Mediterranean kitchen at the Tropicana Beach Hotel. Visitors who are unsure about Turkish food, but would like to give it a go, should try one of the meze platters which is like a Turkish tapas; lots of small dishes to try. A full English breakfast is also served here each morning, ideal for visitors who are missing their sausage and bacon.

Staying at the Tropicana Beach Hotel is a great idea, especially as rooms are just £29 per night. There’s a games room and swimming pool onsite, along with an ‘outdoor cinema’ (big TV!).
