May is much warmer in Golden Sands than preceding months.
Daytime temperatures now climb to a high of 20°C (68°F) and dip no lower than a fairly mild 12°C (54°F) at night.
With seven hours of sunshine per day you will be able to relax on the miles of sandy beach that the resort is famed for.
However, keep in mind that the weather can be changeable at this time of year and there is a likelihood of rain.
Shorts and t-shirts would be fine for good days but long sleeved tops and a light jacket would be a good idea to pack for the evenings and in case of rain.
Golden Sands caters for holiday makers of all ages with something for everybody.
For families, the beach is clean and close to amenities such as toilets and cafes. There is a horse riding school that is equipped to train children and beginners safely, and for an energetic day out there also the Aquapolis water park!
If you’re looking for peace and quiet then there is also the option to drop the kids off at Children’s World, where they will be looked after and entertained with activities and trips to one of the many kids’ swimming pools.
There is a huge variety of bars and restaurants dotted around, serving food ranging from McDonald’s to traditional Bulgarian!
Sports on offer include tennis, volleyball and basketball, and you can also hike or cycle through the beautiful Golden Sands Nature Park and enjoy the array of wildlife on offer.
Younger holiday makers can party all night – as well as a casino there is a cabaret club and many nightclubs to dance the night away in.
