Genting Highlands, Malaysia is located 51 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur on Titiwangsa Mountain between Pahang and Selangor. Conceptualised in 1964, the first structure, the Highlands Hotel (now Theme Park Hotel) was opened to the public in 1971. Today, this resort is one of the most popular in Asia.

April is one of the warmest months in Genting Highlands with readings between 23 degrees to 32 degrees Celsius. While the sun shines for an average of 6 hours, April gets second to the highest rainfall with an average of 270mm and 21 days of rain. Many attractions in Genting Highlands are indoors so the rains hamper your fun.

First World Hotel in Genting Highlands is the fourth largest hotel in the world today, with 6,118 rooms in 28 floors. Its striking multi-coloured facade, lush tropical rainforest main entrance and the Spanish courtyard lobby are just some of its many interesting features. Adjoining it below is the First World Plaza, which houses the Genting Indoor Theme Park, Starworld Casino, shopping malls, food outlets and more.

In the tropical climate, SnowWorld located at Level T2A of the First World Plaza is a completely unique experience.  At 22,800 square feet with temperatures below 6 degrees Celsius, it is Malaysia's largest winter wonderland with a winter downtown and World Heritage concept, The Lookout Point, Warm House, Play Slide, Cresta Run, Toboggan Slide and Snowball Play Area.

One of the latest additions to the restaurant list in Genting Highlands is Hou Mei Noodle Restaurant serving modern Asian cuisine.  The place is furnished with wooden furnishings accented by rattan lanterns. Signature dishes like the popular Kai See Hor Fun Soup, Deep-fried Wan Tan and Curry Hot noodles are worth sampling. It is located at Level 2 of the First World Plaza.
