June is one of the best months to visit Dalaman if you’re looking to top up your tan. Temperatures of around a scorching 29°C are common during the day, cooling to a very mild 17°C in the evening, which is the perfect temperature to enjoy a leisurely stroll around the resort.
The Kas Lycia Festival – one of the biggest celebrations of the year – takes place in June in Dalaman. This three-day festival is held at the end of the month and showcases international and local folk dancing groups.
Soak up the sun’s rays by the poolside or at one of the fabulous beaches in Dalaman. Patara Beach offers a massive 14.2km stretch of golden sand, so there is plenty of space to find the perfect spot. There are no water sport activities offered here, but there is a small cafe offering cheap drinks and snacks throughout the day.
Be sure to visit Koycegiz – a picturesque town just 20 minutes away from Dalaman. This area has almost been untouched by tourism. Take a walk along the vast sandy shore before stopping at one of the many cafes for a drink.
