The weather in Dalaman is fantastic in July with hot temperatures of up to 31°C, clear blue skies and plenty of sunshine. The day cools down slightly as the evening sets in, so you can expect to see temperatures around 21°C after nightfall.
It’s best to retire to the shade during the hottest part of the day – between 11am and 2pm – to avoid severe sunburn and bad heatstroke. Head back to your hotel for an after-lunch nap or enjoy the many fun activities available in Dalaman, such as shopping, sports or even just a stroll around the resort.
Spend leisurely afternoons sunning yourself by your hotel’s swimming pool or take a walk down to the nearest beach. Dalaman boasts spectacular beaches with golden sands and clear-blue waters. Olu Deniz Beach is one of the most popular in the resort and is next to loads of great bars, restaurants and cafes which serve affordable drinks and snacks throughout the day. There’s also a great range of water sports on offer at this beach, including scuba diving and jet skiing.
One of the most popular excursions in Dalaman is a trip to the mud baths and Turtle Beach. On this family-friendly excursion you’ll cruise down the Dalyan Delta and stop off for a dip in the mud baths which will leave you feeling years younger. You’ll then carry on to Dalyan where you can enjoy a buffet lunch before visiting a gorgeous sandy beach which is one of the few remaining nesting places of the endangered Loggerhead turtles.
Make sure you try the spectacular Turkish food at the Akkaya Garden Restaurant during your stay. This restaurant offers a huge menu and is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the resort.
