Hot and sunny although we had a couple of thunderstorms and showers. Warm enough to sit out until late at night
Holiday
Excellent - area is fantastic, not many british around. Beaches are great long and sandy - excellent surfing beaches. Biscarosse Lac is great too and this is the only beach that you pay parking for. Most parking is free and the concerts on the promenade are good and free too. We always camp in our own tent and this year will be our fourth because we like it so much.

Weather
The weather is usually hot and sunny, sometimes extremely hot but not so unbearable that you can't go out. It tends to remain hot and sunny until the sun goes down, in fact the later on in the day, the warmer it seems to get!
We have experienced rain on most visits but it doesn't spoil the holiday and there is usually a lovely breeze.
Holiday
Relaxing, unhurried, lots of lovely places to visit.
Local people are very friendly but a lot don't speak English as Biscarosse is not like your typical holiday destination. The region is very rural.
You won't find horrible high rise hotels and holiday complexes apart from the many camping sites with caravans, which is where we stay.
Yes you can still get chips and pizza and buckets and spades but I would say it is a region where the French like to holiday as well as other nationalities, so therefore, a full english breakfast is off the menu - thank goodness - a la carte is the dish of the day.
