Located on the Aegean coast of Western Turkey, Altinkum is a popular beach resort. The area enjoys a wonderful Mediterranean climate with long hot summers and pleasantly mild winters. The most popular season to visit Altinkum is summer when people arrive in great crowds for the fabulous beaches and incredible nightlife.
January is one of the coolest times to visit Altinkum, with temperatures ranging between 8°C and 3°C. Rain is very common at this time of year, so be sure to pack plenty of warm and waterproof clothing. Luckily, the resort is filled with interesting things to do whatever the weather.
History enthusiasts won’t want to miss the chance to see the Byzantine Church at nearby Priene. It was built in the sixth century and has yet to be fully excavated.
