I was there in some of July and some of August. It gets extremely hot and upto 42-45 C (108-115 F) and it was also windy with sand along with it. A very white person like me can get badly burnt in just a few minutes.

I had trouble sleeping as the heat was constant throughout the day and night. It didn't rain at all during my stay. I noticed that the surrounding area was desert which was no surprise at all.

I stayed at my friend's apartment in Almeria which is fortunately located next to the beach in Almeria. We went to the beach every day as it was the best place to be with this extreme heat. I enjoyed the food as it was mainly tapas, I would strongly recommend them to everyone.

Almeria has a lot of bars, restaurants and clubs. I had a great time despite the extreme heat being British, I would like to visit Almeria when the heat is more bearable.

Beautiful sunshine,it was end of May 2008,but as always it does get very windy.
Be careful as the wind makes the sunshine deceptive and you can burn without realising it

I'm afraid it was a little boring!!
I would recommend Almeria for more mature people who like to amble along just shop browsing or enjoying tapas with a beer.
I'd also recommend hiring a car as there are places to go of interest but mainly too far away.
The open market is a good choice and also the Gran Plaza for indoors shopping.
