Albox experiences a subtropical, Mediterranean climate being warm and dry nearly all-year round. Albox boasts being the Andalucian city that holds the most sunshine hours per year; that’s total of over 3000 hours of total sunlight!

Albox’s most outstanding characteristic is its cloudless, bright sky. The mild climate makes the city a tourist destination where unique holidays can be programmed all year, in which tourists can enjoy the beaches, as well as, other varieties of activities or active sports that are consistently available.

Albox is one of the warmest regions anywhere in Europe. It has a warm, Mediterranean climate with dry, hot summers and mild winters with irregular precipitation. The high quantity number of sunshine hours creates a positive, welcoming nature to Albox’s residents and visitors.

Albox enjoys the sunny warm weather you would expect in a typical Mediterranean forecast though, being located at a higher altitude can experience rather cold winter nights. Unlike the typical cold weather of the UK the daytime throughout Albox is pleasant and warm. With the exemption of July and August the rest of the year is much like a good summer’s day in the UK but July /August are often very hot with temperatures into the 30's. This is not a problem if travellers can adapt to the Spanish way of taking a Siesta during the hottest part of the day.

The Albox temperatures in the January winter month fall in the region of a minimum of 4°C and a maximum of 16°C degrees on average. After winter arrives a very pleasant spring and the Albox climate warms with average temperatures in April in the range of 8°C to 22°C. In July the summertime Albox’s temperature range is from an average low of 17°C to an average high of 35°C. Temperatures will start to descend throughout the autumn months so by the time October has arrived the climate is much more bearable; and actually very relaxing. Throughout this time Albox’s climate has records of average temperatures between 13°C and 25°C respectably low and high.

Just south of Albox is the only true desert in Europe, but when it rains it can come in heavy downpours for short periods of time. This can generate into flash floods which leave the region relatively dry. A Rambla is a dry river bed often used as a road and most of the rivers in nearby Albox are dry for 90 percent of the time. Once or twice during the year it will rain and the Rambla will turn into a river for a few hours only.

Albox is a characteristic old time town with an unspoilt charm however, has not been recognised by the coach tour circuit. This makes the small town; with its endless amounts of sunshine a desirable location to visit at any time of the year
